What to Expect with Charleston Elite
Making the jump from rec to club lacrosse is a big step—and the right one for players who want to improve, compete, and be part of something more structured. Club lacrosse is very attainable if you play other sports and we encourage our players to compete in multiple sports!
The Difference
Rec Lacrosse (SCYL)
- Short seasons (Feb-April)
- Limited practices & games
- Focus on introduction and fun
Club Lacrosse (Charleston Elite)
- Year-round development
- Structured practices + tournaments
- Higher level coaching and competition

Seasons & Commitment
Summer (Primary Season)
- 20-30 practices
- 2–3 tournaments
- Focus: team play, exposure, competing
Fall (Short Season)
- 10–12 practices
- Weekly skill sessions
- 1–2 tournaments
- Focus: stick skills, IQ, fundamentals, competition
Winter (Box Lacrosse)
- Played in a hockey rink, fast-paced training
- Improves stick work, toughness, decision-making
