Hunter is an accomplished lacrosse player current playing midfield at Quinnipiac University. He grew up in Charlotte and graduated from Weddington High School where he led his team to the 2017 NCHSAA state championship with a 19-1 record, as well as back-to-back conference titles. Hunter is Weddington's all-time leader in career points (as well as holding the Union County record) with 280 (157 goals, 123 assists). He earned All-America and league’s Offensive Player of the Year honors as a senior, as well as 1st team all-state and first-team all-region honors, and was a four-time first-team All-Conference selection. He played club lacrosse for Duke's Lacrosse Club and is an assistant at Philip Simmons. Hunter has a real knack for connecting with kids and makes sure they are having fun.
